Mohammed Kudus faces an increasingly uncertain future at Ajax after his agent confirmed that a move could be on the cards this summer.

Arsenal have four major incentives to complete the signing of Mohammed Kudus. The 22-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer followinghis eye-catching performances for Ajax.

Kudus, who sees his contract at the Johan Cruyff Arena expire in 2025, featured 30 times for John Heitinga’s side in the Eredivisie last season, chalking up 11 goals and four assists. The Ghana international’s impressive displays have ɾєρօɾτedlyattracted the attention of numerous top clubs, including the Gunners, Manchester United and Newcastle.

While he predominantly operated as a centre-forward or a right-winger, Kudus has previously been used as a No.10 and even an eight. As Arsenal prepare for their first Champions League campaign under Mikel Arteta, the Spaniard will be keen to further bolster his squad across various positions with the fixtures coming thick and fast.

If the north Londoners manage to get their hands on Kudus then he’d be able to help cover four positions on the pitch. Signing flexible players have become a growing trєɴԀ at Arsenal recently, with Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber both already welcomed the club this summer.

Upon Havertz’s arrival from Chelsea, Arteta revelled at the Germany international’s versatility. In an interview with Spanish outletMarca, the Gunners boss said: “Kai has already shown a lot, including winning a Champions League. He is a talented, versatile player and only 24 years old. Talent has a price and, at Arsenal, we are always interested in young players with experience.”

Then, following the transfer of Timber from Ajax, the Netherlands international named three positions which he could play for the north Londoners. Speaking toArsenal club media, he said: “For me it doesn’t really matter, I think that I’m lucky to say that I can play as a central defєɴԀer, as a right full-back, sometimes even on the midfield.

“So I think that’s a good thing and I need to keep that. I just like the way Arsenal play, is a bit similar to Ajax’s style and I like to play from the back. I can see a lot of similarities, especially in the way Arsenal and Ajax want to play.”

Withthe £52million-rated starfacing an increasingly uncertain future, Jennifer MєɴԀelewitsch – his agent – has confirmed that now is the right time for the Ghanaian to leave Ajax. However, Arsenal could face difficult competition for his signature.

As quoted by Dutch publicationDe Telegraaf, she said: “I think it is best for both Ajax and Mohammed that he makes a transfer now. Now is the right time.

“He has ignored a proposal to extєɴԀ his contract until the summer of 2026. What I can say is that after the World Cup and this season there is a lot of interest in Kudus.”
