Why not get it if you can afford it, right? If your net worth is estimated at over $10 billion, as is the case of the Dallas Cowboys owner and president Jerry Jones, why not treat yourself to the perfect family yacht?

But Jerry Jones’ superyacht is different from all the other billionaires’ superyachts in that it’s one of the first to place such a high emphasis on reducing its impact on the environment and improving efficiency.

Meet Bravo Eugenia, the fourth largest build fromluxury shipyard Oceancoand the 52nd in the world, a mean green machine that was designed for family life, maximized range, and minimized impact on the environment. At $225 million the ɾєρօɾτed construction cost, it’s also ranking high on the list of the most expensive private superyachts in the world.

Bravo Eugenia, codenamed internally Project Bravo, was completed and launched in 2018. It was built in the Netherlands by Oceanco, on a naval architecture by Lateral Naval Architects, with exterior design byNuvolari Lenard. The interiors were penned by Reymond Langton Design, in collaboration with Jones’ wife Gene, after whom the vessel was named.

Bravo Eugenia has been moored in London since the єɴԀ of November, hailing in from Cannes. Though a new build, it’s already traveled the world, having been spotted in Alaska, Gibraltar, and now the UK.

It’s exactly how it should be, if you think that Jerry and Gene wanted a family vessel to take them onєɴԀless and memorable vacations, as they admitted in a 2019 interview withYachts International. Until then, they had chartered many yachts and superyachts, including custom builds from Oceanco, like Alfa Nero and Nirvana. This, Gene said, allowed them to form a very specific idea about what they wanted from their own vessel, and this became the vision for Bravo Eugenia.

With a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, the 109-meter (358-foot) superyacht offers 3,400 GT of interior volume across four decks. Accommodation on board is for 14 guests in seven suites and an additional crew of 30 in 15 cabins, including the captain’s private suite. Because the superyacht was never offered for charter and is yet to be listed for sale, details and photos of the interior are very scarce.

What is known is that Bravo Eugenia offers two helipads and an incredibly generous beach club, a packed tєɴԀer garage, and a variety ofentertaining and socializing areasthat have been given Gene’s personal touch thɾօυɢҺ curated art and pieces of furniture. She described the interior as”sophisticated and inviting,”with a”light, open, contemporary look”achieved thɾօυɢҺ bespoke furniture and Swarovski details. There’s also a gym and a Teppenyaki bar, a sauna, and a variety of outdoor and indoor lounges.

As Gene told the media outlet in 2019, the idea was to get a vessel that was perfect for family vacations, and in this sense, Bravo Eugenia fits the bill. The Jerrys also wanted a reduced impact on the environment, and this is achieved thɾօυɢҺ Oceanco’s LIFE Design, where LIFE stands for: Lengthened waterline, Innovative layout, Fuel-efficient hull design, and Eco-conscious technology. In short, despite its size, the superyacht is very fast and efficient.

The specially-designed hull with a lengthened waterline is the first of its kind at Oceanco, and ensures a fast displacement with just two MTU engines totaling 2,920 hp, delivering a top speed of 19 knots. The engine room is now single-tiered, as opposed to occupying two decks, which frees up space on board for the guests, while heat- and energy-recovery structure and anintegrated battery systemreduce fuel consumption by as much as 30 percent. Bravo Eugenia offers a smoother, noise- and vibration-reduced ride at high speeds, and even features a”whisper mode”for quiet entries and exits from ports.

“A fully customizable yacht is often seen as a highly luxurious purchase,”Marcel Onkenhout, CEO ofOceanco, said at the presentation of the LIFE Design hull.”Thanks to Oceanco’s LIFE Design, it’s now an ecologically-conscious one too.”

Clearly, the industry is still a long distance away fromtruly sustainable vesselsof this size, but Bravo Eugenia is a good step in that direction. Absolutely gorgeous, too.
