Joao Felix is a player that has been admired at FCBarcelonafor a while now. Even club president Joan Laporta has publiclyadmitted to having tried to sign the Atletico Madrid forwardin the recent past.
Felix finds himself at a crossroads in his career as he is uninterested in continuing at Atletico Madrid under Diego Simeone. His loan spell at Chelsea in the second half of the last season did not do much to revitalise his career and the Blues decided against a permanent move.
Now, as Felix waits for a resolution on his future,ASis ɾєρօɾτing that the Portuguese international continues to harbour a desire to play forBarcelona. However, that is seen as an ‘impossible dream’ at this point owing to multiple factors.
For starters, despite Barça’s past admiration of Felix, the financial situation at the Catalan outfit prohibits them from thinking about a move for the former SL Benfica wonderkid.
Furthermore, there does not appear to be any space for the 23-year-old in Xavi’s tactical scheme either.
The ɾєρօɾτ states thatBarcelonahad come close to signing Felix from Atletico Madrid in January 2022. There was an agreement between the two clubs over a Ԁєɑł that would have seen them share ownership of the versatile forward but theRojiblancosbacktracked.
However, as of now, there appears to be no way for Felix to fulfil his dream to play forBarcelona, at least for now.
A move to PSG could be on the cards for the Portuguese international as the Ligue 1 champions are looking at him as a candidate to replace Kylian Mbappe should the latter join Real Madrid this summer.
