“He tried his best but in the єɴԀ, Tchouameni decided to go toReal Madridbecause it was his dream since he was a kid, his biggest dream in life, and he considersReal Madridthe biggest club in the world. The truth is Klopp really tried very hard to sign Tchouameni.
“I think this is really difficult this summer for Liverpool, but, never say never.”
Tchouameni played a valuable role in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad last season when he put in several solid displays at the heart of his midfield. The French sensation participated in 50 matches forLos Blancosin the previous campaign, picking up four assists across various competitions.
The Rouen-born talent was a reliable performer in both halves as he averaged 1.9 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, 1.5 clearances, 1.2 shots, 0.7 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He even distributed the ball accurately from midfield after making 93.5% of his attempted passes in the Spanish first division (stats viawhoscored).
Tchouameniremains one of the most important assets in Ancelotti’s squad. He can anchor the midfield well and can even be a creative outlet forReal Madridin the opponent’s half.
