Arsenal are again looking to Manchester City to strengthen their squad this summer according to a ɾєρօɾτ which claims they’re after Kyle Walker and Julian Alvarez.

The Gunners signed Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus last summer, both of whom proved to be crucial in their bid to push Manchester City in the Premier League in 2022/23.

Mikel Arteta has further strengthened his squad with the additions of Kai Havertz from Chelsea and Declan Rice from West Ham, with Jurrien Timber also said to be on his way from Ajax.

ButNacionalclaim they are also keen on signing Walker from City, and – far more boldly – Alvarez.

Walker’s is the ‘easier case to solve’ as he has just a year left on his current Ԁєɑł, is yet to sign the new one on the table, and has been linked with a move away this summer, withBayern Munich said to be frontrunners.

Arsenal have ɾєρօɾτedly ‘contacted Manchester City to offer€16m’ for the 33-year-old.

Alvarezwould be non-transferable for perhaps any club in Europe apart from Manchester City, who have Erling Haaland ahead of the Argentinian in the pecking order.

The 23-year-old striker agreed a Ԁєɑł to join City from River Plate for€21m in January 2022 before joining the squad last summer and scoring 17 goals in his debut season.

The ɾєρօɾτ claims Pep Guardiola ‘is delighted to have Alvarez’ and doesn’t want him to leave but ‘understands the striker wants to accumulate more minutes’. He too has beenlinked with a move to Bayern.

It’s therefore claimed the City boss is ‘considering giving him an exit if a high amount arrives for him’. Arsenal are ‘willing to pay€60m’ but City want€80m for the Argentinian.

Manchester United and Newcastle are said to also have the pair on their ‘agєɴԀas’ but there has as yet been ‘nothing more than an informal interest’.

The ɾєρօɾτ states that City are yet to respond to interest from any of their three Premier League rivals, though it is made clear that the Gunners view both Walker and Alvarez as ‘transferable players’.
