WithReal MadridCastilla failing to win promotion to La Liga 2, a number of the talented youngsters within the team are staring at uncertain futures, one of whom is the talented Sergio Arribas.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been the beating heart of the Castilla outfit for the past two seasons and has made some headway into the first-team setup as well.
However, with no clear pathway into Carlo Ancelotti’s team heading into the new season, Arribas’ future has been cast into doubts.
Javier Birlanga,Real Madridhave informed Arribas and a few more young talents from Castilla, that it is best for them to leave the club this summer so as to continue their development elsewhere.
Arribas enjoyed a spectacular campaign for Castilla, scoring 20 goals and setting up seven more from 36 appearances (promotion playoffs included). He also scored a goal from four appearances for Real Madrid’s senior team.
Arribas, though, has no spot in Ancelotti’s side as he would have to compete with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz, and imminent signing Arda Guler for minutes.
As such, an exit, on loan or permanently with a possible buyback option, is on the cards for the Spanish attacking midfielder.
Borussia Dortmund are very interested in signing Arribas and areexploring the possibility of a two-year loan Ԁєɑł. Girona, who signed Miguel Gutierrez fromReal Madridlast year, arelooking to work out a €6 million Ԁєɑł for Arribas.
WithReal Madridadvising Arribas that it would be best for him to leave to continue his progression, an exit appears likely. And it remains to be seen where he єɴԀs up and whether it is on loan or a permanent transfer.
