DesignerJozeph Forakishas now unveiled the 88-metrePegasussuperyacht concept.Pegasusis designed to be “virtually invisible” both visually and from a sustainability perspective. Forkasis is eager to take “courageous leaps toward our collective sustainable future,” with “PEGASUS[being] a bold but achievable vision for the near future, where man and machine live in harmony with nature rather than competing or compromising.” This notion led toPeagusrunning entirely on solar energy converting seawater into hydrogen. She will produce zero emissions offering an infinite range. Similarly, onboard fuel cells convert the H2 into electricity stored short-term in Lithium-ion batteries makingPegasusa one-of-a-kind superyacht. Forakis’s ambitions are prevalent across the interior and exterior proposal. The exterior design begins with a low, linear hull exhibiting a plumb bow and silver metallic finish. This feature blurs the separative layer between the yacht and the sea itself, as though the vessel is in harmony and one with the water. Like a sustainable gliding ρłɑɴe thɾօυɢҺ the sea, thePegasuswill model reflective multi-tiered “Solar Wings” as floating mirrors of the sky and clouds championing the surrounding natural landscapes.
Another exterior and interior fascination of thePegasusis the multi-level monument to nature, the “Tree of Life,” expanding across all 4 levels. A wellness zen garden and reflective pool will surround this symbolic tree, framed by a sculpted spiral staircase that interweaves Forakis’s vision to interconnect nature thɾօυɢҺ his conscious design. A sustainable hydroponic garden will also provide fresh food and air purification onboard.
The interior spaces ofPegasusguest lounges showcase the juxtaposition between minimalist design and living nature, both inside – with living greenery and rich appointments skillfully integrated thɾօυɢҺout where copious daylight penetrates across the entire boat. The top level is exclusive to the owner, with a forward-facing primary suite featuring a large private terrace. The forward pool club has an aquarium-style lap pool and expansive horizontal windows that transform into open balconies on both port and starboard. The versatile pool cover also functions as a helipad. The open beach club features a substantial Jacuzzi and collapsable terraces at the aft of the ship.
The environmentally-conscious ethos ofPegasusalso runs thɾօυɢҺ the funnels of her structural build. The substantial 88-metre superyacht’s construction will use robotic 3D printing to create a mesh framework integrating both hull and superstructure. The result is a robust yet lightweight vessel that will be crafted using less energy, waste, space, material, and time than conventional construction.
