Arsenal have shown a real ȿτɑτємєɴτ of intent by securing the signing of highly-rated forwardAlessia Russoon a free transfer from Manchester United.
The England international was confirmed as anArsenalplayer today ahead of the Women’s World Cup which kicks off later this month.
Russo played a starring role in England’s Euro 2022 triumph last summer and is targeting silverware after making the move to the capital.
The striker hit 10 goals in the WSL last season as United finished runners up to Chelsea and she was subject of a world-record bid fromArsenalback in January.
United rebuffed Arsenal’s approach but Russo’s decision not to sign a new contract left her free to move to north London.

“I’m really excited to be here and I can’t wait to get going,” Russo said after completing her move.
