Speaking toFIVE, Rio Ferdinand gave his view on Manchester United’s incoming Ԁєɑł for Mason Mount.

The former centre-back said: “I think Mason Mount is a very good signing, he will be a valuablemember of the squad, he’s a good player, top player, I love the way he plays football.

“Every manager he’s had has been nothing but positive about him, integral to everything they do.

“(He brings) goals, assists, chances created, runs deep into the box, always a goal threat, decisiveplayer in the team, he has to play.In big games he can perform and impact games.

“He’s a high-intensity player, everything you’d want from an attacking player in midfield. For that price in today’s markethe could turn out to be a very good piece of business.”

Manchester United will pay an initial £55 million for Mount, which will rise to £60 million. The price was lower than Chelsea would have wanted, due to his expiring contract.

We have taken a look atpossible squad numbers for Mount, this is something United will typically announce separately to his formal unveiling.

Sky Sports’ Melissa Reddyɾєρօɾτed that Mason Mount was ‘wowed’ byErik ten Hag‘s knowledge and appreciation of his game, and is looking forward to working with the Red Devils boss.

Mount, 24, arrives at United as a Champions League winner, who lost a little momentum amid ιɴjυɾу and the dysfunction at Chelsea last season. He now has an exciting fresh start at Old Trafford, and hopefully United fɑɴȿ will love watching him play, just as Ferdinand describes.
