The need for new full-backs at Real Madrid is real. The left-back position has been a concern for a while now, and the right-back department is slowly growing into an equally concerning area.
Ferland MєɴԀy has failed to impress the manager over the years, for his inability to produce an impact in the final third is seen as the team’s Achilles heel.
Fran Garcia is indeed arriving to reinforce the position, but the signing of Alphonso Davies was also seen as a real possibility. That option does not appear to exist for this summer now.
Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez are currently the team’s options to play at right-back. However, both stars are now on the wrong side of 30, and it is high time theMerenguesfind a young replacement to take the position forward.
At the moment, however, a signing of the full-back is unlikely. Real Madrid are working hard to reach an agreement with Kylian Mbappe over a transfer, and any other signing just does not appear to be on the agєɴԀa.
If Mbappe does not arrive this summer,Dusan Vlahoviccould well be a target forLos Blancos. The Serbian International is seen as an optimal choice to strengthen the attack on loan, albeit with an option to make his signing permanent.
