Manchester United will surely be parting ways with a few players this summer. Two of these names very well could be Jadon Sancho and Harry Maguire. However, it appears they’re going to be difficult to shift unless the club are willing to cut their losses.

Sanchoarrived at Old Trafford in 2021 for£73 million. He hasn’t lived up to the phenomenal performances he was putting out at Borussia Dortmund. It’s so Ԁιȿɑρρօιɴτιɴɢ as he really did look like a world-beater.

As forMaguire, he joined the club in 2019 for£80 million. He had a great first season but then has slowly turned into a bit of a meme in the footballing world. It’s clear to see he isn’t up to the standard of Manchester United – especially as the captain.

Combined – the duo cost a whopping £153 million. The return is simply not there, which has led to speculation that the two could be onErik ten Hag’s chopping block this summer.

United will be forced to cut their losses on the duo

According toMark Ogden, senior writer for ESPN– United will listen to offers for Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho this summer, but interest is limited because of the financial cost of signing them.

It appears that no one is willing to gamble unless United cut their losses and sell for significantly less than they bought them for.

Sancho has beenlinked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with the London club willing to pay £50m for his services – but after the confirmation of officially signing Dejan Kulusevski, this now looks unlikely.

As for Maguire, he’s been briefly linked with a few clubs – but certainly nothing concrete. This is an extremely concerning sign.

The fact United have splashed over £150m on two players that other clubs have little to no interest in just shows the state of the recruitment process.

These problems should be identified beforehand. Instead, they’re being Ԁєɑłt with now which has major repercussions in the transfer market, as we have little to spєɴԀ this summer.

fɾυȿτɾɑting is the word.
