BARCELONA STARTING TO GIVE IN TO €35 MILLION-RATED FORWARD’S WISH OF NOT WANTING TO LEAVE

Over the past few months, there has been a lot written about Ansu Fati and his future at FCBarcelona. The 20-year-old forward had a sub-par 2022/23 campaign during which he failed to establish himself as a regular under Xavi Hernandez.

WithBarçaneeding to sell players to generate revenue and reduce salary mass, Fati’s name has been heavily linked with an exit. It has been suggested that the La Liga champions are open tolistening to bids for the La Masia graduate, whose market value stands at €35 million.

However, Fati has always maintained that he does not wish to leaveBarcelonaand wants to succeed at his boyhood club.

Now,Mundo Deportivois ɾєρօɾτing thatBarcelonaare starting to give in to Fati’s wishes of not wanting to leave this summer and now believe that the Spaniard will stay at the club for at least one more year.

Despite his poor campaign, Fati did finish the season strongly, scoring three goals in theBlaugrana’slast two La Liga matches. He was also involved in Spain’s UEFA Nations League triumph earlier this month.

Soon after that, the youngster commented on club his future and reiterated his desire to stay put atBarcelona,saying:

“I have a contract withBarcelonaand my intention is to continue to improve and grow here. That is my intention. I have a contract and I’m happy. Both at my club and with the national team.”

Barcelona had been ɾєρօɾτed to be intent on cashing in on Fati to generate revenue. However, they are now starting to accept that the youngster could remain at the club for at least one more year.

Meanwhile, Fati remains confident that he will turn things around at his boyhood club and go on to achieve success after a subpar campaign.
