Condition
Accompanied by GIA ɾєρօɾτ no. 15142095, stating that the diamond weighing 100.09 carats is Fancy Vivid Yellow, Natural Colour, VS2 Clarity.Signed Graff, inscribed 100.09 FVVVS2 referring to weight, colour and clarity of the fancy vivid yellow diamond. Stamped Pt900 for platinum on shank and OR 750 for 18 carat yellow gold on detachable centre. For further information on the central diamond please refer to the ɾєρօɾτ. Side stones bright and lively. Little signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight of mounting approximately 17 grams.

Of exceptional beauty and extraordinary fire and brilliance, this gem is one of the largest fancy vivid yellow diamonds in the world. Other important fancy vivid yellow diamonds to recently appear at auction include: ‘The Lady Dalal’, a110.03 carat pear-shaped diamond which set a world auction record price for a yellow diamond at Sotheby’s Geneva in November 2011, selling for 11,282,500CHF/12,361,558USD; and a 20.80 carat marquise-shaped diamond which sold at Sotheby’s Geneva in November 2013 for an astounding per carat price of 228,701 CHF/258,202 USD (sold for 4,757,000 CHF/5,184,702USD).
The Graff Vivid Yellow is listed in Ian Balfour’s reference bookFamous Diamonds, published in 2008, as one of the few rare yellow diamonds greater than 100 carats.
