Chelsea have rєjєƈτed a second bid from Manchester United for England midfielder Mason Mount.

The second offer is understood to be worth £50 million – with £45m guaranteed plus £5m in add-ons – butSky Sportsclaim it was immediately pushed back.

Manchester United have made it clear that they want to sign the England international, but they need to reach an agreement with Chelsea to complete a Ԁєɑł.

Both clubs knowpersonal terms won’t be an issue for Mountwhen it comes to joining United, so it’s completely down to whether Chelsea lower their valuation for the player.

With one year left on Mount’s contract, Chelsea would be doing well to get £45m for his signature this summer. Sadly they are pushing the boat out for more and could risk holding on to a player that wants to be elsewhere.

Erik ten Hag was first made aware of Mount when he joined Vitesse Arnhem on loan as an 18-year-old. His free-kick led to a 3-2 win over Ajax in March 2018, and it looks like Ten Hag has kept an eye on his progress ever since.

Sky Sports also claim Ten Hag tried to sign Mount for Ajax following the midfielder’s short stint in the Netherlands.

The ɾєρօɾτ adds: “The likelihood of Mount staying at Stamford Bridge is remote with the midfielder unwilling to sign a new Ԁєɑł. Chelsea know this is the time to cash in on a player who has just one year left on his contract.”

Chelsea must think they can get more money out of United.
