The diamond itself was named the world’s largest cut diamond by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2006. The shape of the diamond also has a symbolic meaning as it is inspired by the Middle Eastern palm tree, Hamsa – a sign of protection, power and strength.This symbol is associated with the number 5, which corresponds to 555.55 carats and 55 facets.
