Arsenal have been ruthlessly mocked by their OWN fɑɴȿ after they shared a post explaining how the Champions League works.
The Gunners fell short of their pursuit for the Premier League title after they were chased down byManchester City.
But in finishing second in the league, they secured Champions League football for the 2023/24 campaign.
It will be their first foray into Europe’s elite club competition since the 2015/16 season.
And ahead of rubbing shoulders with the major European clubs,Arsenaluploaded a post explaining how the competition works.
They tweeted: “How the tournament works,” while adding: “Everything you need to know about the Champions League ahead of the 23/24 season.

Considering it’s a competition where Arsenal secured qualification for 19 consecutive seasons prior to their hiatus, the tweet didn’t go down well.
Even their own fɑɴȿ poked fun at the tweet. It’s clearly been a long time without Champions League football.
One Twitter user joked: “We’ve been out of champions league for so long the club is teaching us how it works.”
A second tweeted: “How the tournament works? I know six years feels like a lot but it really isn’t.”
